Twenty-five Years Ago - (1896)
Wm. Hurst of Two Rivers, died on Monday morning of cancer of the stomach. He had been sick for a long time and his death was not unexpected. He was city clerk at the time of his death though the work has been done for some time by his son. Mr. Hurst had served as postmaster at Two Rivers and his administration of the affairs of the office was eminently satisfactory. He was a man who was always true to his friends and willing to make sacrifices on their behalf. He was a good citizen and enjoyed the respect of all who knew him.
