DEATH OF MRS. CLYDE MILLER
The many friends of Mrs. Clyde Miller were grieved to learn that she passed away at her home in Chicago Wednesday morning.
Mrs. Miller had not been ill many months though her condition was known to be serious, it was hoped that she might recover.
Deceased was formerly Miss Mae Hurst of this city, which she left in 1902 when she became the wife of Clyde Miller, a young man of fine qualities who made her acquaintance while he was supervising the construction of the city waterworks system. They have since made their home in Chicago.
Mrs. Miller was born in this city thirty-nine years ago, the daughter of Ex-mayor and Mrs. Wm. Hurst, both deceased. She was a graduate of the high school. In 1900 she was chosen as the daughter of a civil war veteran and one of the estimable and popular young ladies of the city to unveil the soldier's monument on Washington Street, in the presence of a large host, the day having been set aside as a holiday.
Deceased leaves her husband and two brothers, Harry and Guy of this city and a sister, Mrs. Wells Long of Muskegon, Mich.
The funeral will be held at Chicago where her remains will be laid to rest at Graceland Cemetery, Friday.
