Retired from the Heart of Spartanburg Motel and Solon Scruggs Plumbing Company.
Survivors include her son, Robert E. Engley; sisters, Julianne Sackett Scruggs and Jean Elise Sackett Warren; and three grandchildren.
Visitation held from 7:00 - 8:30 pm, Wednesday, July 25, 1990, at the home of her son.
Memorial services held at 11:00 am, Thursday, July 26, 1990, in the Chapel of the First Presbyterian Church of Spartanburg by the Rev. Wayne Cole.
Memorials could be made to the Luther Home of Mercy, Williston, OH or to the Purnell Fund of the First Presbyterian Chuch, Spartanburg, SC.
