In 1882 Fremont acted as "Purser and Supply Officer" on the maiden voyage of the steamship Queen of the Pacific as she left Philadelphia, went through the Straits of Magellan on to the West coast. Ezekiel Alexander was the Master of the ship, and his brother, George, was Second Officer. (Ezekiel & George are also Beverage descendants).

In Sept 1884, George F Lewis ran for Representative to the State Legislature, running against Fremont Beverage. From North Haven, George received 69 votes and Fremont received 56.

Before he became the Supt. of Schools at NH, Fremont taught on North Haven in 1893 (District #6), and then the new Free High school from 1893-1896, teaching Algebra, Rhetoric, Botany & Physics. In 1894, the Annual Report stated: "Winter term taught by Fremont Beverage, who stands high as a teacher both at home and abroad." According to the North Haven Annual Report of 1897: "The teachers of our school this year, with a few exceptions, are the same employed in our schools last year. I have no reason to retract anything said of them in my former report. There was one term of High School taught by Mr. Fremont Beverage. The school was small but good work was done. I would recommend that we continue the High School. Respectfully submitted, H.P. Stone, Supervisor "

By virtue of the within unit I attached 175 fish barrels valued at $50, 37 bbls's of salt valued at $50, one seine known as the Schooner Sea Foam, seine valued at $50, being now in the buildings owned by Xenophon Leadbetter, used as his fish houses. Same buildings bought of William Frye, one seine boat, marked Sea Foam, belonging to the Schooner Sea Foam valued at $25, now laying near H W Beverage's wharf at the beach in said North Haven, County of Knox and State of Maine.
