Funeral services were held yesterday afternoon at Walnut Grove Methodist church for Mrs. Maiy E. "Mollie" Adams, 73, who died at Athens-Limestone hospital Saturday afternoon following complications of a broken hip received in a fall three weeks ago. Burial was in Legg cemetery with the Rev. Jimmy E. Howard officiating. Spry directed.
Mrs. Adams' survivors include three sons, Horace, Rt. 2, Elkmont. J. D., Athens, and Charles Adams, Cleveland, Ohio; four daughters, Mrs. Elsie Daly, Rt. 3, Elkmont, Mrs. Madeline Dement. Athens, Mrs. Frances Hargrove, Rt. I, Elkmont, Mrs. Mary E. Gooch, Rt. 2, Athens; one sister. Mrs. Prudie Johnston, Rt. 2. Elkmont; I5 grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Kenneth Weatherford. Charlie and Leon Carter, Arlin Kelley, Jewel Tennison, and Calvin Gooch.
