Graduated from Glen-Nor High School, Glenolden, PA. Entered Air Force pilot training May 1941.Graduated and commissioned January 2, 1942. Served in American, Caribbean, European and Alaskan Theaters. Staff assignments included service with Office of the Secretary of the Air Force and Assistant Secretary of Defense. Final Assignment before retirement from service was as Chief, Public Affairs, Alaskan Command. Graduated University of Oklahoma with BBA and MBA degrees in Management and the American University with MA degree in Journalism. Post service positions have been Associate Editor, "Armed Forces Management" magazine; Editor "Air Cargo" magazine; and "Air Line Pilot" magazine. Author of over 20 books including "Four Came Home", "Doolittle's Tokyo Raiders", "The Legendary DC-3", "Jimmy Doolittle", "Chennault's Forgotten Warriors" and co-authored General Doolittle's autobiography "I Could Never Be So Lucky Again". He was the historian for the Doolittle Tokyo Raiders and a Honorary Doolittle Raider.
