Mairi Morrison Abbott, 84, died Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at The Cottages at Brushy Creek.
A native of Stornoway, Scotland, daughter of the late Kenneth and Mary MacLeod Morrison.
She was a retired nurse and a member of Grace Orthodox Presbyterian Church, Lynchburg, Virginia.
Surviving are two sons, David Abbott of Greer and Ronald Abbott of Storrs, Connecticut; a daughter, Alexandra Abbott of Fayette, Iowa; two sisters, Ina MacIver and Joan MacIver both of Isle of Lewis, Scotland; and three grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a brother, Kenneth Morrison.
Funeral services were held 1:00 p.m. Saturday at The Wood Mortuary, conducted by Mr. James Clark. Burial followed in Wood Memorial Park.
