19 Oct 1964: Earl Franklin Kohr, 57, a former Hershey Estates policeman, died Sunday in Hershey Hospital. He resided at Community Club Apartments in Hershey. He had been a special police officer for Hershey Estates for many years before he became ill a few months ago. He was a member of Seventh Street Lutheran Church, Lebanon; Mt. Lebanon Lodge 226, F&AM; Harrisburg Consistory; Hermit Commandery 224, Lebanon; Weidle Royal Arch Chapter 197, Lebanon; Lebanon Council 27, Royal and Select Masters of Pennsylvania; Tall Cedars of Lebanon, Forest 43, Harrisburg; and Hershey Fire Co. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Betty Romberger Kohr; sons Glenn E. of Salina, KS, Jack M. of Lancaster and Roger A. at home; his father Harvey Kohr of Orwin; sisters Mrs. Ida Adams, Miss Ellen Kohr and Miss Bessie, all of Orwin; brothers Henry of Lebanon; Harry of Orwin; and Walter of Harrisburg; and six grandchildren.
