This is the Cornelius Cain, born about 1773 in Harrison County, Virginia, son of Daniel Cain and Susannah Custer. He was married to Margaret Sleeth on 8 July 1808 in Harrison County, Virginia. They resided in Lewis County, Virginia from about 1820 to about1840, then were living in Gilmer County, Virginia in 1850.
Cornelius was thought to have died in Gilmer County, Virginia, apparently after 1850.
Their known children were:
1 - John M. Cain b:1809 1m: Elizabeth Kerns 1822, 2m: Amy Dennison 15 Aug 1827.
2 - Mary A. Cain m: Manuel Furr 1832.
3 - Wallas/Wallace Cain b:abt. 1814 m: Dorcus Kerns.
4 - Sarah Cain b:8 May 1816 m: Morgan Marks 22 Aug 1840.
5 - Alexander Cain b:1828.
6 - Elizabeth b:1832 m: Calvin Marks.
