This information taken from "Descendants of Nicholas Cain" by Wayne Cain and Shirley Evans 1986. See photos. Note that this Cain line lived primarily in Virginia and are not related to the Cains of North Carolina.
Note that marriage records exist for 3, 5 & 8 July 1804, but also 8 July 1808. The 1808 year aligns with the list of children in the 1986 Cain & Evans book. The 1804 year allows inclusion of one additional daughter; Catherine Cain McQuain 1804, and a birth for Mary A. Furr in 1806, found on FamilySearch.org. Catherine was married about 1830 and Mary A. was married in 1832, so their birth year estimates wouldn't have to be before 1808.

Margaret Cain was age 75 and living with her son, John M. Cain in Gilmer County, Virginia (later West Virginia after 1863) in 1860. Her death is thought to have been about 1864, some suggest an unproven date of 9 October 1864. No burial place is known.
