SMITH, Rowena E., age 90, of Middletown, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at Hospice of Butler and Warren Counties. She was born December 21, 1925 in Wolfe County, Kentucky and lived in Middletown since 1955. She was a graduate of Hazel Green Academy in Wolfe County, Kentucky and taught school at Quillens Chapel in Wolfe County. Rowena, a homemaker, mother and grandmother, loved her family and enjoyed canning, quilting and reading. The family extends their special thanks and appreciation to all her home health aides, therapists and nurses, and to the staff at Hospice of Butler and Warren Counties for their loving professional care of Rowena during her illness. Preceding her in death were her parents, Aaron and Belle (Keith) Campbell; her husband of 50 years, Bill O. Smith on April 19, 2003; two brothers, Clay Campbell and Bill Campbell; and one sister, Reba Heflin. She is survived by two daughters, Gail (Gregg) Bowman and Kimberly (Russell) Jaeger; one granddaughter, Taora Jaeger; one great grandson, Gunner Jaeger; one sister, Jean Nelson; and numerous nieces and nephews. Private services will be at the convenience of the family. Interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park, Trenton, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Butler and Warren Counties, 5940 Long Meadow Drive, Middletown, Ohio 45005. Arrangements by Herr-Riggs Funeral Home, 210 S.
