Richard F. Abitz, 96, Duluth, died Friday, June 2, 1995, at his home.
Mr. Abitz was a farmer and stockman.
He was born October 13, 1898, on a farm north of Wheaton, the son of Herman and Emelle Honig Abitz.
Mr. Abitz was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Duluth and the Voters Assembly ad the Men's Club at the church. He was a former member of the board of education and Cemetery board at the church.
He was married to Lorna Kufahl of March 15, 1928, at Duluth. She survives.
Other survivors include two daughters, Lois Bishop, Salina, and Marilyn Schwartz, Onaga; two sons, Marvin Abitz, Duluth, and Eldon Abitz, Duluth, Denver; two sisters, Ida Howell, Onaga, and Lorna Taylor, Wamego; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
A daughter, Linda Abitz, died October 12, 1953.
Services were at 2:00 p.m. Monday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Duluth. Burial was in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery in Duluth.
