Lorina M. Leseberg, 85, died December 22, 2015 at Hanover Long Term Care, Hanover, Kansas.

Visitation will be Sunday, December 26 from 1 to 7 p.m. at the Hanover Mortuary. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, December 28, 2015, at Trinity Lutheran Church, northeast of Hanover. Rev. Rodney Fritz will officiate.

Arlyce Klipp will play the organ while David Heuer and Wayne Kruse sang "Amazing Grace" and the congregation sings “How Great Thou Art” and “Fight the Good Fight”.

The pallbearers will be Justin Kruse, Dustin Heuer, Joseph Kracht, Eric Leseberg, Andy Leseberg, and Travis Riekenberg.

The honorary pallbearers will be Ron Licht, Ken Heuer, Jim Heuer, David Heuer, Rodney Meyer, and Gordon Licht.

Burial will be in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery.

Lorina was born on November 18, 1930 on the family farm near Hanover, daughter of Fred and Mary (Wassermann) Kruse.

She was Baptized into the Christian faith on November 30, 1930, at Trinity Lutheran Church by the Rev. Dr. William Mahler. Her sponsors were: Marie Kruse, Erna Kruse and Marie Scheele.

On March 25, 1945, she confessed her Christian faith during the Rite of Confirmation. Her Confirmation Verse was from John 6:68-69. Her Confirmation Pastor was Rev. Theo. Kauffled.

In the spring of 1945 she graduated from the 8th grade at Trinity Lutheran Church.

On May 3, 1953 she was united in marriage to Edwin Leseberg at Trinity Lutheran Church by Pastor Kauffeld.

Lorina was a homemaker and also worked in the Dietary Department at the Hanover Hospital and at Community Memorial Hospital in Marysville, Kansas.

She served her Lord as a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church at Bremen, Kansas, and as a member of Mount Calvary Lutheran in Marysville, Kansas. She was a member of the Ladies Aid Society at Bethlehem.

Her hobbies included quilting and crocheting.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her sisters and brothers-in-law, Marie Meyer and husband Albert, Erna Licht and husband Arnold, Martha Meyer and husband Raymond, Olga Heuer and husband Norbert, Elnora Heuer and husband Walter, and Ruth Heuer and husband Victor.

Survivors include her children, Mike and wife Barb Leseberg, Hanover, Dan and wife Phyllis Leseberg, Odell, Nebraska, Joyce and husband Jerry Kracht, Bremen; grandchildren, Andy Leseberg, Megan Kumpla, Jessica Leseberg, Kim Tracy, Eric Leseberg, Melissa Rimbey, Kelly Johnston, Heather Kracht, and Joseph Kracht; ten great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Memorials may be made in her name to Good Shepherd School, Marysville, Kansas, or Lutheran Hour Ministries. Contributions may be sent in care of the Hanover Mortuary.
