Edwin John Leseberg entered his eternal rest on Monday, June 9th at the Good Samaritan Home in Wymore, Ne. Edwin was born January 19, 1926 at Bremen, KS to Louis H. and Anna (Saathoff) Leseberg. He was baptized at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Bremen on February 7, 1926.

He grew up on a farm North of Bremen and attended Marysville High School where he graduated in 1947. He was a Korean War Army Veteran. He served in the United States Army from May 25, 1955 until his honorable discharge on February 26, 1957. Ed farmed for many years and worked as a machinist at Dempster Industries in Beatrice, NE for 20 years. He was a resident of the Good Samaritan Home in Wymore, NE for 13½ years. Edwin was a life-long member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Bremen, KS.

Edwin is preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Anna Leseberg, one brother Wallace Leseberg, and two sisters, Lillian Kadleck and Evelyn Gleue.

He is survived by his 3 children; Mike Leseberg and wife Barb of Hanover, Dan Leseberg and wife Phyllis of Odell and Joyce Kracht and husband Jerry of Bremen. He has 9 grandchildren, Megan Kumpula and husband Cory, Andy Leseberg, Jessica Leseberg and special friend Troy Stevens, Kim Tracy and husband Shawn, Eric Leseberg, Melissa Rimbey, Kelly Johnston and husband Cody, Heather Kracht and Joe Kracht. He has 10 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Thursday, June 12th from 1-8 p.m. at Gerdes-Meyer funeral home in Odell, NE. Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 13th with family prayer service at 9:30 a.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Bremen, KS. Burial will be at the church cemetery with military graveside services provided by American Legion Post #306. Vance-Gerdes Funeral Home in Odell is in charge of the arrangements.
