Elnora Anna Alma Heuer, 85, Hanover, died May 27, 2008, at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center, Lincoln.
A service was at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 30, at Trinity Lutheran Church, northeast of Hanover. The Rev. Rodney Fritz officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Elnora Heuer was born on Nov. 19, 1922, on the family farm near Hanover, the daughter of Fred and Marie Wassermann Kruse. She graduated from eighth grade from Trinity Lutheran School. She worked at Concordia Teacher's College.
She married Walter Heuer on Sept. 27, 1946, at Trinity.
She was a member of Trinity church, Ladies Aid Society and the Lutheran Women's Missionary League.
She enjoyed quilting, embroidery, music and reading.
Survivors include her children, Jerry Heuer, Hanover, Kathy Kruse, Herkimer, and Lynette Horman, Hanover; two sisters, Lorena Leseberg, Hanover, and Olga Heuer, Hanover; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Walter; infant son, Charles; four sisters, Marie Meyer, Martha Meyer, Erna Licht and Ruth Heuer; one grandson; and one great-grandson.
Memorial contributions may be made to the church and sent in care of the Hanover Mortuary.
