Hattie Liebe, age 87, of Iola, died peacefully with her family at her bedside on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at Agrace HospiceCare in Fitchburg, WI. She was born in The Town of Sharon , Wisconsin on August 26, 1928, the daughter of the late Leo and Helen (Dombeck) Damask. Hattie married Joseph Liebe on October 29, 1949 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Polonia. He preceded her in death on August 26, 1991.

Hattie was employed at the Wisconsin Lions Camp for many years and she also did at home elder care in the Iola area She loved spending time with family, neighbors and friends. Hattie enjoyed gardening, cooking, and baking pies. No one ever left her home hungry as she was always was prepared with something for them to eat.

Hattie is survived by: daughters Pat (Lee Miller) Cisewski, Carolyn (Scott) Brozik, and Jeanette (Tom) Pliska; brothers: Maurice (Sandy) Damask, Edwin (Betty) Damask, and William (Jeanette) Damask; sisters: Susie Wanta, Dorothy Newman, Virginia Cain, and a sister-in-law: Annie Domaszek. She is also survived by grandchildren: Greg (BreeAnne) Nelson, Bellingham, WA.; Ryan Pliska, Wauwatosa: and Kelly Pliska, Madison. Hattie was preceded in death by: brothers, Aloise Domaszek, Joseph Kozicki, and an infant brother; brothers-in-law: Emil Wanta, Jim Newman, Loren Cain, and a sister-in-law: Jo Ann Kozicki.

The Funeral Mass will be held at at St. Adalbert Catholic Church, Rosholt, at 11:00 AM on Monday, December 28, 2015 with Father Greg Michaud officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday 3-6 PM. at Voie Funeral Home in Iola. Visitation will also be held Monday 10-11 AM. at St. Adalbert Catholic Church.
