Leonard Waitus Tolbert, 84, died Dec. 21, 1997 at the Oneonta residence. Born in St. Clair County, he was a son of the late John Franklin and Cora E. Keener Tolbert and husband of Pearl McWaters Tolbert. He was a self-employed farmer. Surviving besides his wife are brother Jack Tolbert, Oneonta; and sisters Annie Lou Morton, Mary Rugh Robison and Robbie Lee Roberts, all of Oneonta. He was predeceased by daughter Virginia Fay Tolbert. Rev. Larry Tolbert officiated services Dec. 23 at Lemley Funeral Chapel, with burial at Antioch Cemetery on Straight Mountain. Pallbearers were John Roberts, John Robinson, Tommy Bellew, John David Robinson, Michael Morton, Christopher Morton, Brian Tipton and Jeff Robinson.
