James W. “Jack” Passmore, 92, of Trinity, died Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2015, in High Point Regional Hospital. He was a native of Macon County, but lived in Waynesville for 50 years before moving to Trinity. He was a veteran of World War II serving, in the Pacific Theatre and the Korean War, serving in the U. S. Air Force. Jack was a retired appliance repairman, electrician, and owner and operator of Jack’s Appliance Service. He was of the Baptist faith.

He was the son of the late Samuel Theodore and Dora Owenby Passmore and the husband of the late Janette Grant Passmore, who died March 29, 2015. He was also preceded in death by a son, Richard Samuel Passmore.
Ivie Funeral Home, Andrews, is in charge of arrangements.
