Janette was a native of the Nantahala community. She later moved to Waynesville where she spent the next 50 years before moving to Trinity. Janette was a homemaker who enjoyed yard sales. She was of the Baptist faith.
Janette was a loving mother, and she also loved her grandchildren very much.
She was the daughter of the late Henry Lawton and Ardella Mashburn Grant. She also was preceded in death by a son, Richard Samuel Passmore; two sisters, Midge Cunningham and Irene Grant; and two brothers, Mark and John Grant.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 1, in Bethel Hill Baptist Church with the Revs. David Postell and Marlin Mc-Mahan officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery.
