When Myrtle (Myrt) Nora Bishop was born on April 16, 1909, in Alberta, Canada, her father, Joseph Nelson Bishop, was 30, and her mother, Gertrude Naas, was 32. She was born in Canada the same year -- 1909 -- that her parents reported on a census that they arrived.

Census 1930 reported that she was a Citizen of the USA.

In 1930 Myrtle shared a rented house with her sister, Ethel, in Detroit, Michigan.

Myrtle married Eanar (Deac) Ensio Nystrom on November 6, 1937, in Lucas, Ohio. At the time she was a Bookkeeper. Census documents indicated that she was Lutheran. They had one child, Shirley Jean, during their marriage.
RESIDENCE
In 1940 Myrtle lived in Plymouth, Michigan. About 1952 Myrtle and her family as well as her sister, Ethel, and Ethel's family, moved to Texas.
OCCUPATIONS
In Texas Myrt assisted her husband, Deac, with a Grand Prairie retail business according to a 1953 local newspaper article. Her niece, Audrey Borg Bigelow, wrote in December 2022, that for twelve years, Myrtle Nystrom was a Bookkeeper in Grand Prairie. Myrtle's Certificate of Death's Informant, her husband, reported that she was a Homemaker at the time of her death.
DEATH
Myrtle died on July 21, 1983. According to her Certificate of Death, she died in the Arlington Memorial Hospital, Tarrant, Texas. Myrtle Nora Bishop Nystrom was 74 when she died of multiple causes. First on list reported on certificate of death: Cardiorespiratory Disease.
BURIAL
Myrtle Nora Bishop Nystrom was buried in Grand Prairie at the Southland Memorial Park Cemetery. Later her daughter and her husband were buried in the same cemetery.
