Vickie Neuenswander Morford, 51, of Bountiful, Utah, passed away on December 6, 2015 at Intermountain Medical Center. She was born on November 2, 1964 in Logan, Utah, the first daughter of Jon Doyle Neuenswander & Kathryn L. (Liston) Richards.

Vickie grew up in the greater Seattle, Washington area. She went to Bow Lake Elementary where she was so smart she only spent a short while in kindergarten before being moved directly to the first grade, skipping kindergarten. This is where she met her life-long friend, Kelly (Eberle) Graham. Vickie attended Maywood Elementary, Olympic Junior High and she graduated from Mount Rainier High School in 1982.

After high school, Vickie moved to the Olympia, Washington area to live with Cordia Jorgenson & family, where she trained to do accounting & bookkeeping. She went to work for Tony Martiniello & Jeff Vert at Accounting & Tax Services in 1986 and was a loyal employee until she left in 2006 to move to Utah. Vickie moved to Bountiful, Utah in August 2007 to start a new direction with her life and to be around her aunts, uncles & favorite cousin Jacque.

In Utah, Vickie worked for Futures Through Choices, Inc, a non-profit organization supporting people with disabilities, until her passing. She was able to take her beloved pug, Bandit, to work with her after the passing of Bandit’s sister, Cleo. She had many dear friends at work.

Vickie’s true passions were gardening, animals & Christmas - more specifically Christmas trees. Her love of the Christmas season was cultivated very early on at age 5, when she’d go to the Neuenswander Christmas Tree lot to help her mother & father sell Christmas trees. This continued until Vickie moved to Utah, every year, managing her father’s Christmas Tree lots and providing joy to hundreds upon hundreds of families over the years. Having owned many cats, dogs, birds, & horses throughout her life, starting with a black poodle named Pepé, Vickie’s love for animals was evident. She loved gardening, with blue flowers being among her favorites along with roses, dahlias, gladiolus & tulips.

Vickie also loved the outdoors, enjoying camping (the rugged-style with a tent, no trailer) and especially snow camping.

What people remember and will miss most about Vickie is her amazing sense of humor and a quick wit. She had a ready and hearty laugh. She was kind, gentle & generous to all she met.

Vickie is survived by her mother, Kathryn (Randolph) Richards of Auburn, Washington; her father, Doyle (Karen) Neuenswander of Saint George, Utah; her sister, Kim Neuenswander of Bountiful, Utah; and her sister, Lisa (Tommy) Piper, of Tacoma, Washington, ; her niece Valory Neuenswander, her nephew, Garrett Snyder; her nephew Ryan Snyder and many special friends who Vickie considered family. Lastly, but not the least, Vickie’s beloved pug, Bandit, survives her and will be reunited with Guy Morford.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 18, 2015 at Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N. 400 E. where friends may visit family from 12:45-1:45 pm prior to services.Vickie will be buried at the Bountiful Cemetery on December 18, 2015 along with the ashes of her pug, Cloe.
