Gladys was born to parents Alexander and Lillian Cummins on March 10th, 1929 in Turin, Iowa. She was one of six children and attended school in Onawa, Iowa. Gladys was baptized at The First Christian Church in Onawa, Iowa
Gladys married Ray Cogdill in 1947 in Battle Ground, Washington, and the couple had three children. Gladys was a loving mother and a beloved grandma. Gladys loved her dogs, walking, puzzles, working in her garden and beach trips.
Gladys is survived by her sons, Earl Cogdill and Pat Cogdill, both of Vancouver, Washington ; her daughter Barbara (Cogdill) Schmit also of Vancouver; 4 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ray Cogdill; her parents, Alex and Lillian; her sisters, Aurenia Reubens and Ruth Funkhauser: and her brothers, Raymond, Robert and Russell Cummins.
