"Marian Craig Succumbs in Switzerland - Marian Eleanor Quinby Craig died suddenly Thursday, Aug 21, 1975, in Lausanne, Switzerland, where she was vacationing. Mrs Craig was born in Titusville, May 2, 1901, the daughter of the late Dr and Mrs Edgar Clark Quinby. She was the maternal granddaughter of the late Mr and Mrs Joseph Seep of Titusville and the paternal granddaughter of the late Mr and Mrs Amos Clark Quinby of Albion. She attended St Joseph's Academy in Titusville, Georgetown Visitation Convent in Washington, DC, and St Mary's-of-the-Woods in Terre Haute, Indiana, and graduated from Columbia University in New York City with a bachelor of science degree. She was married to Col Noel Newman Lombard Craig on June 15, 1926. Col Craig served in the British Army during and after World War I and was a member of the British Diplomatic Service. He died Oct 21, 1968. After her marriage Mrs Craig lived in Oslo, Norway; Copenhagen, Denmark; Dublin, Ireland; London and County Surrey, England; Madrid, Spain; Palo Alto and Santa Barbara, Calif; Titusville; and Scarsdale, NY. She was residing at Glen Cottage, Altidore Castle, Kilpedder, County Wicklow, Ireland at the time of her death. When Mrs Craig resided in Titusville she was a member of St TItus Roman Catholic Church and was at the time of her death a member of Kilquade Parish Roman Catholic Church, County Wicklow, Ireland. She is survived by two daughters, Clemency (Mrs James E R Emmet) of County Wicklow, Ireland, and Rosemary (Mrs John Kevaney) of Killiney County, Dublin, Ireland; a sister, Mrs Newell Vaughan of Titusville; seven grandchildren, two nephews and one niece. She was preceded in death by a daughter Pamela (Mrs Rulison Knox) and an infant brother, Edgar Joseph Quinby. Funeral arrangements are incomplete."
