Paul died at his home after a long illness. He is survived by his wife, June Sullivan Barkhoff, his two sons, Dennis and Bradley, stepdaughter Patricia "Patty" Ann Guy,stepson, Frank Fotia three brothers, Louie of Minneapolis, MN, Archie of Waverly, IA and George Barkhoff of Waterloo, IA., three sisters, Elsie Vold of Lakewood, WA., Helen Shelton, Christine Beck, both of Cedar Falls, IA.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Enno Barkhoff, Antje "Annie" Lupkes Barkhoff, one sister, Annie Broeker of Waterloo, IA., two brothers, Bennie and Fred Barkhoff of Cedar Falls, IA.
In 1949 he married Ella Ruth Boone, this marriage ended in divorce.
