Mrs. James W. Campbell, a former resident of St. Cloud, died at the home of her daughter in Crosby Sunday afternoon. She was born April 14, 1870, at Princeton, the oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John C. Orton. On November 16, 1898, she married James W. Campbell in Sauk Rapids.

They lived in St. Cloud for 50 years where Mr. Campbell was the owner of the Campbell Baking company.

Mrs. Campbell is survived by her three children, Mrs. Elmer G. Anderson, Crosby; Mrs. Robert L. Palmer, Pipestone; and Harold J. Campbell, St. Cloud. There are seven grandchildren and one great granddaughter.

Five brothers and one sister also survive, there are Mrs. Loretta Binnie, Brusett, Mont.; John Orton, Elk River; Fred Orton, Seal Rock, Ore.; Herbert, Charles and Irvin Orton, St. Paul.

She was preceded in death by her husband and her oldest son who died in infancy.

Mrs. Campbell was the oldest living member of the First Methodist church in St. Cloud, having been a member for 54 years. She was also a member of Granite Chapter Eastern Star.

Since the death of her husband she has made her home with her daughter in Crosby. Funeral services were held at the First Methodist church at 2 p.m. today with burial in the Sauk Rapids cemetery.
