From the "Gosford Times", Friday morning May 7 1915.
On Saturday last Mrs. Ellen Bailey, who had been ill for some weeks, passed peacefully away at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. J.E. Waters, Yarramalong. Deceased lady, who was 77 years of age, had been a resident of Yarramalong for nearly 40 years. She was a native of the MacDonald River, near St. Albans, and had a family of eight children - 4 sons and 4 daughters [ another son had only lived for a short time)] but her eldest daughter, Mrs. Robert Waters, predeceased her about 6 months ago. The Rev. W. Moore, of Wyong, officiated at the graveside. Two of Eleanors children, Walter Labenhood Bailey and Matilda Jane Bailey are from her relationship with William Pescud.
