Loren E. Grubb, 70, of 115 N. State St., a lifelong resident of Sangamon county, died at midnight yesterday in Jacksonville state hospital where he had been a patient several months.

He was employed in the state conservation department. He first received a state appointment during the administration of Gov. Frank O. Lowden and was employed by the state about 17 years.

He was a member of the West Side Church of Christ.

He leaves his wife, Mrs. Hazel Grubb; a son, Herbert Grubb, of 923 Clahoun St.; and a daughter Mrs. Ruth Montgomery, of Glendale, Calif.

He leaves two brothers, Rev. Chester Grubb, of Bloomington; and Charles W. Grubb, of Springfield.
