Grubb - Died at his residence, 432 West Reynolds street, at 2:15 a.m., Friday, May 22, 1903, of sorosis of the liver, Samuel A. Grubb, aged 66 years, 2 months and 10 days.

Mr. Grubb was born in Perry county, Pa. on March 12, 1837.

He came to Sangamon county in 1868, settling near North Round Prairie, where he resided until four months ago when he removed with his family to Springfield.

He was married at German Prairie on April 15, 1875 to Miss Mary Mann, who with five children out of seven born to the union, survive him. The children are: Loren, Willard, Chester and Walton Grubb and Miss May Grubb, all residing in Springfield.

Several brothers all residing in the east also survive him.

The funeral took place from the residence and from the Clear Lake Christian church.

The interment was in Oak Hill cemetery.

The pallbearers were H.D. Curry, Gilbert Sponsler, Joseph Robinson and Amos Grubb, who are directors of Oak Hill cemetery board of which Mr. Grubb was the secretary for the past fourteen years.
