Caroline Danner Green, 90, of Front Royal, Virginia, died Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at Hidden Springs Senior Living in Bentonville, VA.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Front Royal United Methodist Church with The Rev. Alan Combs officiating and will be followed by a reception in the church Fellowship Hall. Burial will be held at 2 p.m. in Prospect Hill Cemetery.

She was born in Medford, Maryland, the daughter of the late Abraham Augustus Danner and Florence Arbaugh Danner.

Following her high school graduation, she worked with the draft board during World War II and then as a teller at the Carroll County Bank. Beginning in 1947 she was a full-time mother at home for several years, and then began working at Wesley Theological Seminary.

In 1958 the family moved from Westminster to Washington, D.C. where she and her husband continued to work at the Wesley Seminary. While there she served in the office as Registrar and Assistant to John Moyer, the Director of Music. She retired from Wesley in 1985.

Caroline enjoyed sewing, needlepoint, quilting, and making crafts. She loved writing letters and notes to family and friends.

She was actively involved in the Wakefield Church of God in Westminster and Front Royal United Methodist Church.

Her family was her joy, and she made every holiday special at her home with lots of love, laughter and special food to enjoy.

Surviving are a son, Michael Green and wife Linda of Fairfax, VA; a daughter, Linda Misewicz and husband Mark of Crescent City, CA; a son, Bradley Green of Linden, VA; grandchildren, Kimberly Basha and husband Arif of Springfield, VA, Kevin Green of Alexandria, VA, Jennifer Poe and husband Nathan of Warrenton, VA, Jeffrey Green and wife Savanna of Fairfax, VA, Rachel Funderburk of New Orleans, LA, Sharla Klingel and husband Martin of Charlottesville, VA, Troy Post and Sarah Lane of Stanardsville, VA, Jennifer Taylor and husband Mark of Culpepper, VA, Jessica Thorton and husband Josh of Linden, VA, Matthew Green and fiance Natalie Walker of Warrenton, VA, and Nathaniel Green of Linden, VA; great-grandchildren, Rayan Basha, Zerin Basha, Isaac Poe, Joey Funderburk, Allen Klingel, and Lauren Klingel.

She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Ray Green; her parents; and her siblings, Melvin Danner, Noah Danner, George Danner, Roland Danner, Kathryn Barnes, Esther Cartzendafner, and Doris Shank.
