Mrs. Kidd of Sweetwater Dies at 60
Sweetwater - Mrs. Leon Kidd, 60, of 300 W. Arkansas, Sweetwater elementary teacher for many years, died at Simmons Memorial Hospital here at 5:50 p.m. Tuesday after a month's illness.
Funeral will be held Thursday at 4 p.m. in the Patterson Chapel of Memories. The Rev. Raymond W. Dunn, pastor of Fundamental Baptist Church, will officiate, with burial in Sweetwater Cemetery.
Her husband, the late George T. Kidd, died here Feb. 23, 1961.
Survivors include her father, R. H. Books of Sweetwater; one brother, Morris Books of Brownwood; and two sisters, Mrs. Nancy Bryson of Los Angeles, Calif. and Mrs. Mary Jean Bailey of Bandera.
