RETIRED U.S. EMPLOYE SUCCUMBS TO ILLNESS
David Flacks, 66, retired federal building employe, died in a local hospital following a lingering illness Tuesday night.
Mr. Flacks was born near Hammond, La., and came to Murray in 1903, where he was employed as a smelter worker. Two years later he moved to Salt Lake City and began working in the federal building. He was employed there from 1905 to 1935, when he retired.
He lived at 351 Westminster avenue and was a member of the Mahogany camp No. 358, Woodmen of the World, at Murray.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Augusta Flacks, and the following sons and daughters: Mrs. Grace F. Spaulding, Mrs. Alice Gillette, Miss Marion Flacks, Eugene Flacks, all of Salt Lake City, and Fred Flacks, Montana; a brother, Fred W. Flacks, and a sister, Victoria Flacks, both of Los Angeles.
