Until a short time ago she was in remarkably good health and each fall of the past five years motored with her daughter, Frances, to California, where they spent the winter with her son. She greatly enjoyed these trips and stood the long distance traveling like one many years younger.
More than fifty years ago the family moved to the Avondale community, residing on the farm since that time. Seven children survive, Arthur, Benjamin, Thomas and Frances, all of Avondale; James, of San Diego, Calif.; William, of Lebanon, and Dr. Caroline Crowell, of Austin, Texas, Dr. Crowell flew North about three months abo to be with her mother for a short time. Three children are deceased, Katie, Margaret and Ella.
