Glen Ray Smith, 80, of Weyers Cave, Virginia, passed away Saturday, November 7, 2015, at Harrisonburg Health and Rehabilitation Center. Glen was born in Mount Solon, VA on April 4, 1935, and was a son of the late Cora Knicely and John Smith.

On August 6, 1957, he was united in marriage to Helen Josephine Smith, who preceded him in death on June 19, 2011.

Glen is survived by three daughters, Cathy Loya of Harrisonburg, Lisa Benitez of Pleasant Valley and Linda Flores of Grottoes; a son, Glenn Smith of Grottoes; two sisters, Jean Pritchett of Crimora and Lola Curry of Verona; sister-in-law, Sue Gery; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife and parents, Glen is preceded in death by brothers, Joseph and Garnett Smith; a sister, Betty Lambert; a half brother, Frank Smith; and half sisters, Annie Sandy, Ola Foster, Francis Rivercomb and Beulah Pitsenbarger.

A funeral service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 11, 2015, at Johnson Funeral Service in Bridgewater with Pastor Jeremy Poling officiating. Burial will follow at Sangerville Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 10, 2015, at the funeral home.
