"Yesterday afternoon, at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. J.M.F. Hall, on Case Street, occurred the death of Mrs. F.T. Daly, the esteemed mother of Mr. C.G. Daly city collector of THE GAZETTE. She was born in Wethersfield, Vermont, in May 1803, and was married in 1824 to the Rev. F.T. Daly, a Methodist minister. In 1860 they came to Davenport, and have lived in this vicinity ever since. Rev. Daly was a superannuated minister of the Vermont Conference, and preached at Blue Grass and filled(?) other pulpits in this neighborhood during the war. His death occurred in 1868. Since then his widow has been living with her children in this city, and was esteemed by all as one of the best of Christian mothers, and possessed the most amiable qualities. Her loss will be deeply felt by a large circle of friends and acquaintances. She leaves nine children, all married. Their names are a follows: Baron T. Daly, of Chilicothe, MO; Mrs. James George, of Keokuk county, Iowa; E.U. Daly, of Jefferson, Iowa; Mrs. J.M.F. Hall, Mrs. Bennefiel and Charles G. Daly, of this city; David Daly, of Brooklyn, Iowa; Rev. E.S. Daly, of Albia, Iowa and Mrs. L.A. Gilbert, of Kansas. Notice of the funeral is given in another column."

Funeral will take place from the above residence at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon. Friends of the family are invited to attend."
