Billy E. Simon, 88, of St. Joseph, passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at Living Community of St. Joseph. Billy was born on September 7, 1923 in St. Joseph, to Eldridge and Tresa (Stewart) Simon.

Billy graduated from Lafayette High School in 1942, and enlisted in the army during WWII, and participated in an Honor Flight to the WWII Memorial. He was also a member of Maxwell Heights Presbyterian Church.

Billy is preceded in death by his wife, Daisy Alma (Shaw) Simon, his parents, companion of 30 years, Gloria Peppard, brother, Bob Simon, and sister, Ruth Langdon.

Surviving family includes son, Jerry (Sherry) Simon, of Jefferson City; daughter, Vicky (Richard) Davis, of Chillicothe; son, Danny (Nancy) Simon, sister, Emma Jean Neudorff, and brother, Raymond Simon, all of St. Joseph; five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Services 1:30 pm Friday, at Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel. Interment Mount Auburn Cemetery.
