Mrs. Clara Taylor Turner, age 83, died Monday, November 2, 2015 at the Lancaster Convalescent Center. She was born March 14, 1932 in Lancaster, a daughter of the late Hugh L. Taylor and Beulah Usher Taylor and was the wife of the late William J. Turner. Mrs. Turner was a member of Hopewell United Methodist Church. She worked in the accounting department of Belk’s Department Store for 38 years. She enjoyed shopping with her sister-in-law, Mary Ellen Turner. Mrs. Turner was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and a friend to all. She loved watching her grandchildren.

Mrs. Turner is survived by two sons, Jerry Turner and his wife, Susan of Statesville NC and Hugh Turner and his wife, Kelli of Kershaw, a stepson, Ricky Turner and his wife, Laura of Naples, FL and a stepdaughter, Linda Willing and her husband, Jon also of Naples, FL., five grandchildren, two great grandchildren, three sisters in law, Joe Taylor and Mary Ellen Turner of Lancaster and Shirley Taylor of Lexington, and a brother in law, Rev. Koger Hunter of Kershaw.

Mrs. Turner was preceded in death by three brothers, Bruce Taylor, H. L. (Junior) Taylor, Jr. and Tommy Taylor, two sisters, Janet Taylor Hinson and Etta Mae Taylor Hunter.

Funeral Service for Mrs. Turner will be at Hopewell United Methodist Church by Rev. David Inman with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
