Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Waite Park, for Alvina F. Brugh, 80, 22-11th Avenue S, Waite Park, who died Friday at Assumption Home, Cold Spring. The Rev. Ronald Weyrens will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call from 4:30 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Williams Funeral Home, St. Cloud. Waite Park American Legion Post 428 Auxiliary will pray 6 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, followed by St. Joseph's Christian Women at 6:30, and parish prayers at 7.
Alvina F. Brugh was born April 5, 1917, in Meire Grove to Bernard and Anna (Grumke) Haskamp. She married William "Russell" Brugh April 22, 1939, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Waite Park. She was a member of St Joseph's Catholic Church, St. Joseph's Christian Women, and the Waite Park American Legion Post 428 Auxiliary.
Survivors include her husband, William "Russell"; sons and daughters, James, William Jr., Dorothy Scherer and Alice Kremer, all of St. Cloud; Mary Backes, Dunkirk, Md.; John, Waite Park; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Patricia Terwey; brothers, Henry, Joseph, Anthony, Bernard, Norbert, Raymond, and John; and sisters, Mary Meyer and Rose Weiner.
