Donald F. Anderson, Appleton, age 87, passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2007, at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King. Donald was born in Graettinger, Iowa on April 16, 1919, son of the late Frank & Esther (Paulsen) Anderson. He attended Waldorf Junior College in Forest City, Iowa, and on March 21, 1941, married the former Lila Lee Dennis in Mason City, Iowa; she survives. During World War II, Donald served in the United States Marine Corps from 1944 until 1946, including the occupation of Japan. For over thirty years, Donald was employed as the comptroller for Zwicker Knitting Mills in Appleton.

Survivors include three sons: Dennis (Theodora) Anderson of Greenville; Cary (Elyse) Anderson of Appleton; and Kirk Anderson of Glendale, California; six grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren, two brothers: Paul (Vera) Anderson of Massillon, Ohio; and Bruce (Elaine) Anderson of Moline, Illinois; and a sister, Ruth Cook of Lake Park, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Frank, and a sister-in-law Helen Walters.
