Paul J. Anderson 87, of Jackson Township, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, Sept. 19, 2014, at his residence.

Paul was born in Terrell, Iowa, on Sept. 12, 1927, the son of the late Frank and Esther (Paulsen) Anderson. On July 9, 1950, Paul married the love of his life Vera Jane Delaney.

Together they shared 62 years of marriage and lovingly raised their four children. Vera passed away in April, 2012. was a U.S. Army Veteran. He worked for Goodyear as a National Accounts Sales Manager, retiring in 1988 after 40 years of service. Paul was a member of St. John Lutheran Church for over 30 years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Paul was an outstanding high school and college athlete, and remained an avid sports fan his entire life.

Along with his parents and wife he was preceded in death by granddaughter, Katie Sustad; brothers, Donald and Frank Anderson; and his sister, Ruth Cook.
