VIRGINIA BEACH - Fred L. ''Freddie'' Teagle Sr., 69, a native of Gloucester County, died Tuesday, March 5, in Norfolk.
Mr. Teagle was chairman and chief executive officer of Valley Poultry and Produce Inc. and had been associated with the company for 40 years. He was a Navy veteran of World War II.
He was a member of Rock Church, where he had served as an elder and treasurer for the past 14 years.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Teagle; a daughter, Sharon Parker of Virginia Beach; three sons, Fred L. Teagle Jr., R. Michael Teagle and Gary K. Teagle of Virginia Beach; three brothers, Richard W. Teagle and Ellis Teagle of Newport News and Raymond Teagle of Norge; and eight grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Kellum Funeral Home, Pleasant Hall at Kempsville. The body will be placed in the church by 11 a.m. Thursday for viewing.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday in Rock Church by the Revs. John and Anne Gimenez and Bart Pierce. Burial will be in Rosewood Memorial Park.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Helps Ministry of Rock Church, 640 Kempsville Road, Virginia Beach 23464.
