FINDLAY MRS . VERA ELEANOR "NEVILLE" FINDLAY, beloved wife o[ the late Mr. Lament Findlay, passed away at the Vulcan Hospital on Saturday, August 25, 1990, at the age of 87 years.
Vera was born in Mountainview, Alberta on May 4, 1903. She was the sixth child born to Fredrick and Alice Neville. She married Charles Lamont (Monty) Findlay on November 1, 1922. They had two children, XXXXX of Vulcan, and Gloria (Jensen) who passed away in 1980.
Vera and Lamont lived for a time in Sandpoint, Idaho, Cardston, Loman, Blackie, and eventually settled in Vulcan in 1939. Vera had many friends.
As an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served in a number of capacities. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Royal Canadian Legion. After a lengthy illness she passed quietly away on August 25 at the age of 87 years.
Vera was predeceased by her husband Lamont, daughter Gloria, three brothers: Fred, Albert and David Neville, and also two sisters: Ruth and Florence.
Besides her loving son, XXXX, she is survived by brothers Clifford (Stella) Neville of Cardston, Walter (Eleanor) Neville of Lethbridge, and a sister Beulah (Gordon) Bell of Red Deer, son-in-law, XXXXXX of Lethbridge; two grandchildren, XXXX of Coaldale and XXXX of Montreal, Quebec; also many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held al Christensen Salmon Funeral Home, 327 - 10th Street South on Tuesday, August 28, 1990 al 3:00 P.M. Bishop Richard Brown officiating. Interment to follow in Archmount Cemetery.
