Funeral services for Janie Lee Williams, age 76 of Sulphur Springs will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 16, 2015 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home with David Nestor and Buddy Wiggins officiating. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park with Travis Aven, Bo Hill, Kevin Wilkes, Bill Grant, David Bragg and Randy Clark serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Arnecke and Staff, Heart to Heart Hospice and Hopkins Place Staff. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
Janie passed away on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at Hopkins House. She was born on March 8, 1939 in Mobeetie, the daughter of James W., Sr. and Anna Marguerite Barton. She married Bill Williams on June 1, 1958 in Mobeetie. He preceded her in death in 2013. She worked for GMAC and B & W as an administrative assistant and was a member of the League St. Church of Christ.
She is survived by her son, Mike Williams and wife, Cheryl of Mansfield; daughter, Lisa TenBerge and husband, George of Sulphur Springs; grandchildren, Alyssa Flatt and husband, Steven, Pierce Williams and wife, Whitney, Taylor Williams, Jayna Middleton and husband, Cole and Lara Williams; great-grandchildren, Coleson Wayne Middleton and Olivia Jo Flatt; sister, Nelda Newman and husband, Waylon of Lubbock; special caregiver, Ramie Phillips.
She was preceded in death by husband, sisters, Opal Dixon, Doris Townsend, Barbara Joyce and brothers, Jack Barton, Leon Barton, James W. Barton, Jr. and Benny Barton.
