Alix was the son of Emedia and Romelus Broussard; brother of Hazel and Dave Broussard. At the time of the 1940 census, the family was living in Orange, Texas.
Alix enlisted in the U.S. Army on March 22, 1943, in Houston, Texas. He was a native of Louisiana, was living in Orange County, Texas, was single without dependents, and working as a carpenter.
After his wife Dorothy passed away, he married Mildred M. Brode on July 15, 1974 in Orange, TX. They were divorced on May 25, 1978.
