Mrs. Hugh Sharlow died at the home of her son Leonard at Massena Springs Sunday afternoon about one o'clocK following a long illness of heart trouble, aged sixty-nine years.
The funeral took place from Sacred Heart church Tuesday morning, Rev. T. P. Holland officiating Interment was made in the old Catholic cemetery beside her husband,, who died two and one half years ago.
Mrs. Sharlow's maiden name was Mary Boyea and she was born In Cornwall, Ont., February 26, 1846 being nearly seventy years old.
When but nineteen years of age she married Hugh Sharlow and they spent a few years in Brasher and Cornwall, after which they came to Massena and this has since been her home.
After her hhsband's death she went to live with her son where she has been cared for in her declining days, having been ill for over a year of heart trouble: and confined to her bed for the past two months. For two weeks prior to her death she was in an unconscious condition.
She was the mother of ten children, seven of whom survive, Sam, David and. Leonard, Mrs. John Fregoe, Mrs. James McGrody, Mrs. Charles Ashley and Mrs. Bert Kirkey, all of Massena. She is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. Joseph Sova and Mrs. Delia Sova, of Cornwall. The former with her daughter and Mrs. Joseph Boyea and daughter, of Cornwall, were present at the funeral.
