On Saturday night July 1st word was received of the death of Mrs. J. L. Russell of Sioux City The death occurred at 4:30 p.m. that day, and was caused by paralysis after a ten day illness. The remains were brought here for burial, which took place Wednesday, from the home of J. M. Cox with Rev. Kendrick conducting. Mrs. Russell leaves a husband and two sons, W. L. in San Francisco and J. S. in Sioux City. She leaves also two brothers Murray and Thomas Cox, and two sisters, Mrs. Grant of Afton and Mrs. L. M. Martin of Des Moines, all of whom except the son in San Francisco were present at the funeral. Mrs. Russell formerly resided here and the sympathy of the community goes out to those who are called here upon this sad mission.
