James S. Russell, son of the late John Russell of Pella and a nephew of J. M. Cox was buried at Oakwood Cemetery, Pella, Monday afternoon, September 11th.

Mr. Russell, whose home was in Los Angeles California, died at the home of his daughter Mrs. G. M. Armburst, at Chicago, where he and his wife were visiting, on Friday, September 8th. His death was caused by nephritis. Mr. Russell was fifty three years old. His wife was Lydia Viersen of Pella, sister of Miss Lillie Viersen, at whose home funeral services were conducted Monday afernoon by Rev. A. C. Droz. The Body was accompanied from Chicago to Pella by Mrs. Russell and her son-in-law, Mr. Armburst. Mr. Russell is survived also by one son.
