Born April 29, 1907 in Portage, Utah, to Isaac and Frances Letitia Gibbs Allen. Married Thomas James Stewart, December 15, 1927 in Ogden, Utah. He died June 19, 1972.She traveled and lived in many areas of Utah while her husband was a Utah State road engineer. When World War II began he was employed by Geneva Steel, until his retirement. She was a very independent, capable and industrious person, who maintained her home and lovely yard for 22 years after her husband's death.
Cleo loved beautiful flowers, gardening, rides in the canyons, fishing, the outdoors and traveling. She received Blue Ribbons at the state fairs for her fabulous "homemade" bread, and everyone loved receiving invitations for dinner and an evening of conversation. We will remember and miss the special person she was.
Survived by her children, Joan S. Johnston, Bountiful; Don (Dixie) Stewart, Lakewood, Colorado; Tom (Patricia) Stewart, Midway; six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Duggan Allen, Ogden; Gibbs Allen, Portage; Vera A.
