Charles Fitch Littleton, son of Avery and Josephine Littleton was born in Flemingsburg, Ky., on March 28, 1864 and passed away on April 8, 1952 at Topeka, Kans., at the age of 88 years and 10 days. He came from Kentucky at the age of 20 and settled near Denison where he spent the remainder of his life. On December 31, 1890, he was united in marriage to Claribel Kennedy and to this union nine children were born: Lena Lines of San Pedro, Calif., Helen Eckert of Topeka, Ruth Robison of Denison, Letha Bowland and Katherine Kientz of Wray, Colorado, Clarence of Denison, Floyd of Valley Falls, Will of Anita, Iowa, and Fred, address unknown. His wife preceded him in death on Dec. 3, 1951 just a few weeks before they would have celebrated their 62nd anniversary. He leaves to mourn his passing, his nine children, 32 grand children, 22 great-grandchildren, one brother, Ben, of Rivera, Calif., one sister Mattie Alton, of Washington, D.C., a cousin, Russell Rawlings of Denison, and many other relatives and friends. Charley, as he was known by his friends was always ready to help in time of need as long as his health permitted. He was one of Denison's oldest residents and will be greatly missed by all.
