She was preceded in death by her parents, Stephen & Mary Gathof; husband, Uley Grider; son, Edward Dale Borders; sister, Patricia Livers; brothers, Jack, Jimmy & Steve Gathof. She is survived by her children, Paul Borders, Michelle Hartlage, Terry Borders, Larry Borders and Lisa Barber; stepsons, Don, Denny & Steve Grider; 11 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; brother, Tom Gathof; sisters, Ginger Skaggs and Shirley Craddock and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Thursday, October 1, 2015, from 3-8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home SW Chapel (10304 Dixie Highway). A celebration of Joyce's life will be Friday, October 2, 2015, beginning at 9 a.m. Entombment will be at Louisville Memorial Gardens - West, (4400 Dixie Highway).
