WILSON -- Services for G.E. Hartsell, 77, Tempe, Ariz., will be at 2 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 14, 2006, at Alexander Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. J.B. Lovelace officiating. Interment will follow at Hewitt Cemetery.

Born on July 8, 1929, in Wewoka to George Edgar and Josephine Todd Hartsell, he died on Aug. 7, 2006, in Tempe. He was preceded in death by his father on Jan. 24, 1961, his mother on Oct. 19, 1997, and a daughter, Phyllis Jones.

He married Jody Saragusa.

G.E. passed away peacefully on Aug. 7, 2006, in the presence of his loved ones. He was a devoted servant to his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and proudly served his country for 23 years in the U.S. Air Force. He retired as a senior master sergeant.

G.E. was a blessing to all who knew him. He had a great passion for fishing when he could find the time and was able. The world has lost a great man but Heaven has gained a great soul. We will miss his wisdom, his guidance, his courage, his friendship and the twinkle in his eye that could light up any room.

Survivors include his wife, Jody, of the home; children, Glenna Bloomquist, Phoenix, Mary Jo Santistevoan and her husband, Mike, Phoenix, William Maskill, Sparks, Nev., Martin Maskill and his wife, Rosalie, Newman, Ga., and George Hartsell, Phoenix; a sister, Barbara Kallay Gannon, Tulsa; seven grandchildren, Kim, Sarah, Cayce, Scott, Jordan, Dalton and Jacob; and three great grandchildren.

Visitation will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home prior to the service.
